| Hide list 08/19/25 Misinformation AI can be used for good, evil and garbage. There are many legitimate uses for AI technology. Proofreading, general queries and image generation. But, the person using the tool must curate the output as so much of it is garbage. Be it articles that are not at all right, somewhat factually wrong or flat out *lies*. Image generation is the same. You can't just hit a button and get an instant perfect image. You must generate a large number of images and then find the one that's best. If there is even a best. Sadly, the AI tools on the market allow anyone to spit out garbage articles and shitty images with great speed. They can have a website built in a hour hours with a number of good looking (to someone who knows nothing) user. It's frustrating. Now, full disclosure, I use AI tools to do many things at this point. It's very powerful, but with that comes the need to review end edit the output. It also really helps if you understand the article you are writing... Lets talk about this article. The target demographic for this site is the average user who has no idea what they are reading beyond "Well, that's cool." There are so many points on this article that are just total bullshit, but sound good if you have no idea what you are reading. This is exactly the kind of slop that is going to ruin the internet for finding actual good and useful information. Wait, wait. It's already happening. Also, look at the image on that page. WTF? The sites listed? Most of them don't even exist. And, the very few that do? They don't do what is stated. This is inane. Further, the references at the bottom? One of them has all the screenshots taken using Windows Vista and Internet Explorer. *facepalm* Not only is a dated, but it's bad advice! Thanks go out to orignal on #saltr for finding this piece of dog shit. As for comments. As you can see by my lack of posts I've been all over the place.
